On Sunday evening, Ben’s phone rings. A girl says, “Hello, I am calling about your poster at the bus stop. My name is Beth.”

“Is the dog small?” Beth asks. “Yes,” says Ben. “It is small and brown.” “Does it have a blue collar?” “Yes, it does.”

Beth is very happy. “My grandfather’s dog is lost,” she says. “He is small and brown. He has a black nose.” Ben looks at the dog. Its nose is black.

“Can you come tomorrow?” Ben asks. “Yes,” Beth says. “We can come at four o’clock.” “Good,” says Ben. “Please come to the bakery on Oak Street.”

Ben puts the phone down. He tells Mrs Stone the news. “Be careful,” she says. “Ask more questions tomorrow.”
