Jamie wants to do more sport. On Wednesday, he goes to a sports club near his home. He sees a sign for badminton. He has never played, but he wants to try.
A woman at the desk shows him the sports hall. Two people are playing. A girl called Priya asks, “Would you like to join us?” Jamie says yes.
At first, Jamie misses the shuttlecock many times. Priya shows him how to hold the racket. “Try again,” she says. Soon he can hit it.
After thirty minutes, Jamie is tired and happy. He drinks some water. Priya tells him that the group meets every Wednesday at six.
Jamie writes the time on his phone. “See you next week,” he says. He goes home with a smile. He has a new hobby and a new friend.
