Nora and Perry have a plan. Tomorrow, they go for a walk in the hills. Today they pack their bags.

Nora has a map and a bottle of water. Perry has two apples and a hat. “I have the sandwiches,” Nora says. “We have food, water and a map,” Perry says.

Then Perry looks in his bag again. “Where is my train ticket?” he asks. “I have my ticket,” Nora says. “Is yours in your bag?” Perry looks and looks, but the ticket is not there.

They ask their mother. She has a small box in the kitchen. She opens it. “Here are two tickets,” she says. “Nora’s ticket and Perry’s ticket. I have them for you.”

Nora and Perry smile. “Now we have everything,” Nora says. Their mother has a gift, too: a warm blue scarf for each of them.
