Elena had a big lunch on Sunday, and her friends were coming at one o’clock. She was very busy, so she called her brother Marcus. “Please help me,” she said.
Marcus arrived at eleven. Elena showed him the kitchen. “Please help me with the salad,” she said. He helped her, and she thanked him. “Thank you, Marcus. You are the best!”
At one o’clock, Sofia and Dan arrived. Elena showed them the table. “This seat is for you, Sofia,” she said. “And that seat is for him.”
The friends were hungry. “Where is the bread, Elena?” Dan asked. Elena looked for it in the kitchen, but she could not see it. Marcus found it behind the oven. “Here it is!” he said, and he gave it to them.
After lunch, Marcus washed the dishes. “Thank you,” Elena said. “You helped me today, and I will help you next week.” They laughed together.
