It is midnight. Lena is in bed. Her phone makes a sound. She sees a message from her aunt: “Look under the clock.”
Lena is surprised. The house is quiet. She gets up and goes to the living room.
There is an old clock on the wall. Under the clock, there is a small white envelope. Lena opens it slowly.
Inside, she finds an old photo of her mother. On the back, it says, “For tomorrow. Happy birthday!”
Lena smiles. Now Lena knows why her aunt sent the message. It is a birthday surprise.
