Eva stands at the bakery door with the red notebook. A young man takes a box of eggs off his green bicycle. “Hello. Are you Lily’s friend?” Eva asks. He looks at the notebook.

“I’m Noah. Lily is my sister,” he says. “And that is her notebook!” Eva holds it up. “Can you take it to her?” “Sorry, I have more shops to visit. Can you help her?”

“Yes. Can you call her?” Eva asks. “Her phone is at home today,” Noah says. “She wants to draw, not look at a screen.” Eva looks at the first page again. “There is no address inside.”

“Where can I find her?” Eva asks. “Try the library,” Noah says. “She draws there on Saturday mornings.” He points down the street. “Walk past the flower shop. The library is next to it,” he says.

Eva puts the notebook in her bag. Noah opens the bakery door with his box. “One more thing,” he says. “Please be careful with that book. Lily needs her pictures today.”
