On Monday morning, Ines opens the shared folder. It is empty. The report from Friday is not there. She looks in the bin and in her email, but she cannot find it. The meeting with the directors is at eleven.

“Maybe someone deleted it,” says Paul. “It is not Dana,” says Ines. “She goes home at noon on Friday.” “Then it is the new intern,” says Paul. “He has the folder.”

Adrian, the intern, is very pale. “I only move some files,” he says. “I do not delete anything.” Together they look in the archive. They find the report under a long, strange name.

“I want a copy on my computer,” Ines says. She looks at Adrian. “Please tell us when you move files.” Paul laughs. “It is OK now. We have time.”

The meeting is good. After it, the team has a new rule: “Do not move or delete a shared file without a message.” Ines writes a note on the wall: Save twice. Ask once.
