Irene is late for her class. She has her bag and her coat, but she can’t find her keys.

She looks on the table and under the sofa. “I can’t find them!” she says. Her phone rings. It is her friend Joe. “Hello? I can’t hear you!” Irene says.

Someone knocks at the door. It is Mr Lee, her neighbour. “Irene, are these your keys?” he says. “They are on the stairs.” “Yes! Thank you!”

“You can’t leave your keys on the stairs,” Mr Lee says kindly. Irene laughs. “I know! I can’t be late again today.” She takes her keys and her bag.

Irene runs to the bus stop. The doors are closed, but the driver sees her and opens them. “Thank you!” Irene says. “Now I can go to my class!”
