Amy lives in a small flat. She does not have a garden, but she has a sunny balcony. On Saturday, she buys a pot and some tomato seeds.

Every morning, Amy gives the pot a little water. She looks at the pot before she goes to work. For many days, she sees only brown earth.

One morning, there is a small green leaf. Amy is very happy. She calls her neighbour, Luke. He has plants on his balcony too.

“Do you want some help?” Luke asks. He shows Amy a good place for the pot. There is sun, but the wind is not strong.

In summer, Amy has three red tomatoes. She gives one to Luke. “My first garden,” she says. They eat the tomatoes with bread.
