Elena always gets up early, but on Sunday she stays in bed until nine. She never works on Sunday. She usually drinks tea and reads a book in the morning.

Her brother Marco often comes for lunch. Elena makes pasta or rice because Marco likes both. Sometimes they cook together, and sometimes Elena cooks alone.

After lunch, Marco wants to watch a film, but Elena is tired. “I want to sleep, so I don’t want a film,” she says. “Then I will wash the plates,” Marco says.

In the afternoon, they walk in the park. It is cold, but the sun is warm. They always buy an ice cream, even in winter.

At seven, Marco goes home because he has work on Monday. Elena is happy. She loves her quiet Sundays.
