For three weeks, Eva kept a document on her laptop called “Small improvements”. It was a plan to answer customer questions faster. She had not shown it to anyone because she was new and the plan was not finished.

In a team meeting, the manager said that customers were complaining about slow replies. Eva wanted to speak, but she decided to wait. At the end of the meeting, two colleagues suggested hiring more staff.

That afternoon, Eva asked her colleague Tom to read the document. He liked the idea of a shared list of answers, but he noticed one problem: nobody was responsible for keeping it up to date. Together they added a weekly review.

The next morning, Eva sent the plan to her manager. She did not say that it would solve everything. She suggested a trial with one type of question for two weeks.

The manager agreed and asked Tom to help. Some answers still needed attention, but the simple replies became easier to find. Eva learned that sharing an unfinished idea made it better.
