Daniel works for a company. Everybody works from home. But today the bosses say, “Come to the office every day.” Daniel is not happy because the office is noisy.

On the first day, Daniel brings his laptop, but he forgets to book a desk. He tries the cafeteria, but it is too noisy. After two weeks, he finds a quiet place: the library.

The company asks everyone some questions. Many people like to work at home. The bosses say, “We need more information.”

Daniel has an idea. “Each team chooses its own office days,” he says. “My team comes two days for important meetings, and we work from home the other days.”

The director says no at first. Then she says, “OK, we try for three months.” The results are good, so the company keeps the plan. Daniel is happy now.
