Laura goes to the beach with her cousin. She has a big towel, a good book and two sandwiches. The sun is bright and the sea is blue.

But the wind is very strong. Sand flies onto the towel, into the sandwiches and into Laura’s book.

Laura is not happy. She wants a quiet day near the water. “This is not a good place for a book,” she says. Her cousin looks at a map. “Look! There is a café above the beach.”

They follow a small path up to the café and sit at a table outside. They can see the sea, but the sand does not fly here. They have two cold lemonades.

Laura eats her sandwich and reads one page. Then she looks at the sea and smiles. “This is a much better place,” she says.
