A Day at the Museum

Olivia goes to a museum with her grandfather on Sunday. The museum is in the city centre. It has pictures, old toys and small boats. Olivia likes the room with the old photographs.

They look at a photo of a busy street. There are bicycles and a little red bus. Olivia sees a shop with a blue door. “Look, Grandpa!” she says.

Her grandfather knows the shop. “I went there when I was a boy,” he says. “My father bought bread there.” Olivia is surprised. The shop is very old.

A woman who works at the museum shows them a bigger copy of the photo. Olivia can see the name of the street. It is the same street where her grandfather lived.

Before they leave, Olivia takes a photo of the old picture. At home, she asks her grandfather to tell her more about the shop. They look at the photo together.
